There is a new and fledgling organization coming to be in our area. It is called the Central Illinois Organizational Development Network or CIODN. This groups’ purpose is to assist management in helping them develop their organizations. The web address is www.ciodn.org.
The purpose of this posting is to inform you about an upcoming event for the group. On April 14th the CIODN is hosting a meeting which is open to the public , and at no charge.

CENTRAL ILLINOIS ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT NETWORK (CIODN)
TO HOST PETER SORENSEN, PHD AND THERESE YAGER, PHD
NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN AUTHORS, LECTURERS AND CONSULTANTS
On April 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. CIODN is sponsoring a an opportunity to hear and converse with Peter Sorensen, PhD and Therese Yaeger, PhD, nationally and internationally recognized authors, lecturers and consultants in Organizational Development.
Peter Sorensen is Director of PhD and MS programs in Organizational Development at Benedictine University in Lisle Illinois. Peter has authored more than 200 articles, papers and books. His work has appeared in numerous professional journals including Academy of Management Journal, Group and Organizational Studies, Journal of Management Studies and Organizational and Administrative Sciences. Therese Yaeger is Associate Professor in Benedictine’s Organizational programs at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. Therese has authored over 100 articles, including eight books. Recent publications include Global Organizational Development: Managing Unprecedented Change. Therese has served in numerous managerial positions for 25 years, has been past executive board member of Southwest Academy of Management and the Management Consulting Division of the National Academy of Management. She is the incoming President of the Midwest Academy of Management
The event is being held at Illinois National Bank (INB) Conference Center located at 431 S. 4th Street. Refreshments will be available with opportunities for networking.
The public is invited. Persons involved in executive and middle management, human resources, organizational training and other areas of large and small businesses will find the experiences of Dr. Sorensen and Dr. Yaeger relevant to the needs of today’s professionals. CIODN is a network of diverse professionals from business and academic settings.
The network aspires to share organization development values, expertise, tools, and resources. Its purpose is to foster a community of learners and practitioners to assist Central Illinois Businesses and Organizations in achieving their goals.
