Ok so it took the webmaster nearly two weeks to get this posted – sorry. I have been gone and out of town for almost that entire two weeks.

So last month (June) we had our recognition dinner at the Springfield Abraham Lincoln Hotel on Wednesday June 17^th. First, allow me, on behalf of the entire chapter to give a big thanks to Lisa Leach for doing a great job putting this event together. This was the fourth year and attendance has normally been 35-50 attendees, not too bad for our chapter size, but still it could be better. After all it is a free dinner to chapter members, and a chance to get to visit with some of the members and have a drink at the same time.

So all in all, the event went well. We had a good dinner, drinks, an informative presentation from Bernie Schoenburg from the SJ-R, on the real story down at the Capitol, and the chapter gave out two awards.

This year’s winners were:

·         Nicole Ralph – H.R. Professional of the Year (LLCC)

·         Harold Wimmer – H. R. Champion of the Year (American Lung Association)
